What is timebanking for organisations?

A timebank enables a community to swap skills between individuals. It connects communities, develops relationships and empowers individuals. As an integral part of any local community, organisations play a key role in the timebank.

Organisations can encourage their staff members to join the timebank.  Individuals who are members of the timebank are happier and healthier as they are participating and engaging in their local community.

Timebanking could also count towards your Corporate Social Responsiblity as an organisation.  If individuals become members, you could allow them time during their working hours to complete an exchange which benefits others in the community.  Or a group of individuals within your organisation could join together to complete a group activity.
